Sold me an engine with a bent connecting rod and the warranty states if you tear it down to inspect it, it voids the warranty.After purchase and during installing a new oil pump and pick up tube with a gasket kit I discovered a gouged piston in 1 cylinder then a bent rod in the cylinder beside it. After purchase and me carrying it back to him for him to inspect it he still consistently told me to run it and that's when I ran across the issues.
I had an engine installed in a Ford ranger 89 first the price was 1500 then the V6 3.0 wouldn't match with my intake or some bs over all it cost more than 3 grand. The kicker is I ended up putting the truck in a different shop they asked if I had converted over to an automatic I said no, had an engine installed. They discovered the wrong spacer was in the engine so the only thing pushing my truck was 4 7/16 bolts where the fly mounts to the converter. Now I know why she ate flex ppates
