DRUG WAR outpost: Essentially an extension of the Rockland County Sherrif's department, staffed by eager, mostly attractive young women. When I was there one of the interns from Nyack Coillege cohabited with one of our group members, in the group home he lived in, taking pictures, posting them to Insta, eventually she was fired and I believe prosecuted. I walked out of their program sixteen years ago. I found counselors lied, "the Daytop way" to break you down and build you back up is just plain ridiculous, when you're an addict you're pretty broken down already. The food they served wasn't fit for a dog. Huge jail house mentality among clients. I have sixteen years clean without them, as I was walking out the door, they said I would never make it........
