Money to get in. Money to park. Money to buy drinks. Money to buy food. Money to get inside the planes. Money to let the kids play. Money to get a decent seat. 15 minutes of walking. Not exactly what I was expecting.
What an immense disappointment. NO military aircraft to see on static display. Nothing flew but a Harrier. Are you kidding me? If it's the government budget cuts, then just cancel the show. Not even close to being worth all the hassles to get there.
Business response:
Hi Rocci, yes, sequestration has impacted static displays of military aircraft for all civilian shows. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the other military demonstrations at today's show. Besides the Marine Harrier, we thought the Air Force Wings of Blue Parachute Team, the Coast Guard Dolphin, the Marines C-130 Fat Albert , and the six guys from the Navy flying F/A-18 Hornets did a pretty good job of proudly representing our U.S. Military Forces.
Airshow this year was a flop. Blue Angels was the only great attractions.
Far as actual air performances go it was ok on the 28th. However, VERY disappointed. No C-17 or C-130 on display. No F-15s or F-16s, nothing from USAF at all except that parachute team. Nothing from RCAF either which was surprising. The HH/MH-65 demo was garbage. Didn't even show off the Dolphin's speed or maneuverability what so ever. A high speed pass or something. But honestly due to I've seen the 'Angels several times, and the AV-8s had I known for sure how few aircraft were attending this year I would have sold my ticke... read more
Business response:
Hi Matthew Baas, we're sorry you were disappointed. You may not be aware that due to the federal budget sequestration, the Air Force is prohibited from sending aircraft for static displays at civilian air shows. The Marines sent a Harrier that is on display and there are some great classic military aircraft on display. We would love to have Air Force assets like the ones your mentioned on display this year but that is not possible. Thanks for your feedback.
