What a beautiful stay at the Acorn. We stopped in here as a mini honeymoon. The property we stayed at, The Acorn, was beautiful. A beautiful bundle left for us to enjoy as well as a stunning garden to look over as we relaxed in the spa bath. The property was extremely clean, well maintained and in the best location! We booked the Maison Noire property for a weekend away with family. I would highly recommend this property as it was of a very high standard, spotless and well appointed with everything you need. The tea/coffee was well stocked and the bathrooms had plenty of beautiful large towels. More than we needed. Plenty of space to move around and the heating/cooling was fantastic. Our family weekend was comfortable at Retreat 34A, check-in and check-out was a breeze. The layout of the home worked really well for our family of 6 adults. Plenty of thought has been put into the things needed to make anyone's stay a home away from home. We appreciate the fact that the property is pet friendly as we did visit with our small furbaby, however I feel the cleaners need to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the place. The Acorn is a nice quiet location within walking distance to the main shopping strip in Daylesford. A couple of minor negatives being the supplied crockery & frying pans not clean, the back door was unlocked on arrival, would have welcomed electric blankets and or winter sheets, pretty inefficient fireplace where you have to supply your own wood if you stay more than one night. Still great stay though with generous condiments on arrival. Would still recommend
We had a fantastic time at the House and it was decked out with everything we needed. Very clean and well appointed and proving the staff did a great job. Would definitely stay there again.
