I find it hilarious that this company still exists. Literally every mechanic refuses to fit dayco timing belt kits due to the lack of quality and accountability when they fail.
Timing belt pulleys are garbage, failed within 20,000km don't have faith for the rest of the kit. STAY AWAY!!
Our workshop will never use Dayco timing belt kits again. Changed a timing belt for a client using Dayco kit. Lasted 14 months & 8515 Km's Tensioner spring included in Dayco kit had failed, result: belt failure & piston/valve contact. All inlet valves needed replacing. Repaired clients vehicle at our cost, Dayco Customer Service & Technical Support Manager was extremely rude & dismissive to us & our Dayco Supplier's staff. Great Service, got the part I wanted same brand as OEM - go figure. They might supply OEM.
Avoid this company at all costs. Go Genuine or Gates. Had one of their tensioners fail and subsequently destroy a cylinder head. Silly me thought OK shit happens, Dayco will back their product? I could not have been more wrong. It'll cost me 6K+ to repair and 25hrs of labour that I'd have normally been making $$ on doing other jobs, Dayco timing belt kits included (was one a week minimum) Been in the game for over 40yrs with no timing belt kit failures EVER.
