I had an unfortunate experience with an Automotive business in Tasmania that eventually transpired into ineffective handling and resistance of resolution. I rang Dayco for assistance. Dayco warranty is crap, tensioner broke at 11000 kms destroying a audi a4 engine, refuse to warranty their product leaving us down $8000 in repair cost for our customer, will never use again
I find it hilarious that this company still exists. Literally every mechanic refuses to fit dayco timing belt kits due to the lack of quality and accountability when they fail.
Timing belt pulleys are garbage, failed within 20,000km don't have faith for the rest of the kit. STAY AWAY!!
Our workshop will never use Dayco timing belt kits again. Changed a timing belt for a client using Dayco kit. Lasted 14 months & 8515 Km's Tensioner spring included in Dayco kit had failed, result: belt failure & piston/valve contact. All inlet valves needed replacing. Repaired clients vehicle at our cost, Dayco Customer Service & Technical Support Manager was extremely rude & dismissive to us & our Dayco Supplier's staff.
