Dawn participated in creating new illustrations and adding color to others which made up about a fourth of the illustrations in the second edition of Human Neuroanatomy - a textbook on the human brain published by Wiley. Although not a neuroscientist, Dawn was able to accurately portray complex concepts in these illustrations often with the use of her artistic talents, color, and her mastery of color theory that helped immensely in communicating complex ideas in the book.
