Went to the ER with right calf pain, to the point having a hard time walking. I voiced my concern about dvt, Erin MD did a D-dimer. The test came back high, but within normal limits (467). I was given ibuprofen and sent home. 3 days later (today) went to Beacon, because pain was getting progressively worse. I was immediately sent for ultrasound of right calf and wouldn’t you know I have a dvt. I will say Erin is very nice and has good bedside manners, but I was sent home with a dvt undiagnosed. A doctor who clearly places her own liability over the welfare of her patients. I came in to see the ER because of extreme pain from throat ulcers. These ulcers are DEEP, and even with antibiotics and ibuprofen, they are going to take some time to heal. This was a Thursday morning. What does she prescribed for pain medication? A teeny weeny bottle of hydrocodone that, if taken according to instructions, would be EMPTY on Saturday evening.
