Interesting to see things haven't changed. I went to this doctor a decade ago and he was absolutely obnoxiously condescending, tactless, and rude. I have moved to Southern Maine and today went to another ENT doctor. Completely opposite situation. I came out of the office fully satisfied that I had received appropriate advice and the best possible healthcare.
Rudest doctor I have ever met… condescending and doesn’t listen to the patient.
I had a great experience with Dr. Skizovic. After suffering from chronic tonsillitis for over 5 years and visiting other ENTs, Dr. Skizovic quickly diagnosed me and scheduled surgery. I was a bit of a high risk procedure due to having a blood disorder. He took precautions before, during and after surgery to ensure my safety. It’s even a year since my procedure and I’m better than ever - I highly recommend him.
If I could give 0 I would too. He misdiagnosed my son and performed surgery on him with complications. I should have gotten a second opinion but we only had a short time before he left for college. :( I will forever regret this decision.
Yes, he is rather terse, doesn't really care about your feelings, and is old-fashioned. I was also yelled at for using Q-tips in my ear, but I didn't mind. He is a skilled doctor and surgeon. I had chronic sinusitis and was suffering from intense pain in my cheek due to chronic congestion. Upon seeing the CT scan, he quickly scheduled me for surgery which was a year ago, now I am living pain-free thanks to his work.
