It took me upwards of 3 years to understand that my abuser has a sexual attraction to minors and to eventually come to terms with the fact he had sexually assaulted me, as a proxy. Working up the courage to report it to the police was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my life. Once I finally did, it took another 2 years of back and forth with the authorities to press charges through severe gang stalking and humiliation rituals. No charges were pressed.
