I would like to start off my review of Dr. Henderson by stating I think that he's a good person and and potentially a good counselor. In my limited experience with him he appears empathetic to me, though similar to others reviewing him I found his ethics to be problematic at times which I'll explain later. It's also important to note that my case was a difficult one to say the least and my behavior was at times inappropriate towards the end of my marriage as I was dealing with my ex's "hoarding disorder"(which Henderson did ... read more
Moms: DO NOT let your lawyer use Alexander Davis Henderson in any part of your custody case. As other reviewers have noted, Alexander Davis Henderson works to make moms look horrible. Gotta make a living somehow, right? Also as mentioned by another reviewer, Alexander Davis Henderson does not seem very knowledgeable about children and their needs. The extra letters on the back of his name means he can read, write and pass tests, but they say nothing about his ethics and interest in the well-being of children.
Dr. Henderson diagnosed me as disabled. I was court ordered to see him and my ex was ordered to pay for it originally. I was still liable to pay this too. He ate out of my exes hand. I had 3 psychological evaluations prior to seeing Dr Henderson, all with the same diagnosis, and one was from the state of SC. Dr. Henderson did not consider these evaluations nor contact my therapist that I had been seeing for a year. After I signed releases and gave him contact information and their PDTP.
