James is a stand up guy. I was referred to his shop by a friend, and now I solely go to him even though I live in a different county. He is a straight shooter and will do what he can to help, but he isn’t afraid to give you bad news if it’s the truth/what you need to know to help in the long run.
When getting your car serviced from this shop ask the total price multiple times before you get work done. My mother recently had her brakes and rotors done and has a phone call from a worker with the quoted price, recorded. She scheduled the appointment and took her truck in thinking that the price was good for the job. They do her brakes and she went to pick up her truck and was shocked when the total was double what they have quoted her. Rented a cabin nearby for a few days and ran into some car trouble. I brought the car to them, worried about the time and cost impact to the vacation, but was very happy when they got me back on the road quickly, and it wasn't too expensive. They seemed very honest, pricing is very fair, and overall it was a pleasant experience and I'm glad I found them!
Davis Automotive is great! My family was in a bind. We had to get the kids from school and my wife’s alternator went out…. Again. He just changed it a few months prior. I exchanged cars with my wife so she could be with the kids. I took her car over to Davis knowing I would be stuck there for hours till my wife could get back and get me.
