I can't really recommend David West. I purchased a rebuilt fresh Toploader from him for $1700 about 6 years ago but it wouldn't shift into 3rd worth a damn from day one. As the car was a custom build in progress I thought that the clutch release mechanism may not have been releasing enough but when I got that sorted still had the issue.... and by then the warranty was up. Everyone knows that when you rebuild one, 3rd gear usually ALWAYS needs to be replaced. Beware of guys just putting in a kit with no parts.
David West is the man to go to for 4 speed transmissions and old muscle car parts. Knowledgeable, honest, and wise man who has been doing this stuff his whole life.
