THIS OFFICE HARASSED ME INTO DOING A PROCEDURE I DIDNT WANT DONE, THREATENED TO CHARGE ME FOR A VISIT IF I LEFT FOR REFUSING IT, THEN THREATENED TO CHARGE ME FOR LEAVING, CAUSING EXTREME DURESS DURING MY VULNERABLE POST PARTUM RECOVERY. I LEGALLY have to right to refuse and the office manager lied, she said insurance wouldnt pay if i didn't, which is also a lie, I have filed a complaint with the state medical board. I'm no longer a patient at Dr. Maples office, but my mother is a patient there. I would give Dr.Maples five stars, she is an awesome Dr. but this is more about her staff and the visual view of her waiting area. The waiting room chairs are awful lookong at let alone sitting in them, they are so nasty and stained that they need to be thrown out, I didn't even sit down thinking something would be on my clothes when I got up. She listened to all my issues and did not dismiss me as having anxiety or period cramps. She was willing to test to find real issues. When I was in the hospital, she was there to help and was able to get me out quick enough to go to my band concert.
Outstanding Doctor! Very thorough, always willing to listen, and she addresses all of my concerns. She has the best attitude of any doctor I have ever met. I am truly Blessed to have her as my Doctor!
Dr Maples is AMAZING!! She has delivered both of my children and is my PCP as well. Very thorough, great bedside manner, always willing to listen, and takes time to make sure she addresses all of your concerns. We moved to Tennessee a few years ago and we still make the drive to Athens anytime we need to see the MD. I would not dream of having another Dr.! We LOVE Dr. Maples and her staff!
Terrible! If I could give a 0 star I would. He did not listen to my complaints and shrugged me off. He wrote on the discharge papers that he performed exams he did not perform. He sent me home in pain with no recommendations for treatment of the issue I went in for. Terrible experience. Sad to say that because the other nurse practitioners there are great. I will not see that doctor ever again.
Dr. Purner is the rudest doctor I have ever met. Every time I have take a family member or go myself I pray he is not there. The receptionist acted shocked when is told her how I felt. The nurse practitioners, nurses and receptionists are nice and caring.
My daughters were patients for years. I have had serious doubts over time about his practices due to his lack of testing and diagnostic tools. My oldest suffered from fever, earache, dizziness, and lack of appetite with abdominal pain. She was sent for a scan. When I asked for a school excuse for two days later when she was still running a fever, he refused. His off hrs are M-Th 8am-4pm with a 2-hour lunch from 11am-1pm. Friday is 8am-11am. He lied claiming she never told him her symptoms.
Dr. Purner is very rude and hateful to his patients. He does not explain medical conditions in an appropriate manner and will not listen or answer questions when asked without being rude. I will not ever go back to see this doctor again and I do not recommend him to anyone.
