My spine doctors referred me to Dr. McGarry. His resident did everything. Then Dr. McGarry strolled in, pointed at a year-old scan, and said it was nothing, and doctors often sent him patients they didn't know what to do with. A team of specialists in Houston diagnosed the tumor as being possibly aggressive and needing regular evaluation and follow-up. I tried to mention this, and he hadn't seen their films. I didn't know what else to say, so I left, and I would never recommend him to anyone. He didn't talk to me or look at ... read more
The front desk was very kind and efficient. However, Dr. McGarry did not give off a good vibe. He asked me to tell him my story. When I told him my local provider saw the MRI and said it was a sarcoma he lauged. I thought that was rude and made me uncomfortable. He looked quickly at my MRI from a couple of months ago and determined that what I had was benign and told me even having a biopsy would not do any good and that I needed to come back in 3 months for another MRI to see if there are any changes. He told me that the pa... read more
Dr. McGarry treated my mom and performed surgery on her leg. He thoroughly explained the process and placed us at ease. He is an expert in his field and we would recommend him to everyone.
Dr McGarry reviewed my MRI and explained what he saw, a gluteal mass. Suggested lipoma should be taken out of my gluteus. Two weeks later he performed surgery. Everything went as he explained to me. Post Op also has been as he and his nurse (Kerby) described. Both are very precise and responsive. Excellent Dr/surgeon.
Communication regarding pre-op and post-op care was Very Poor. A benign tumor was removed from granddaughter's femur. Dr, McGarry said she would be fine and no crutches would be needed. After 2 plus hours of surgery and a bone graft-she was in severe pain and on crutches for 6 weeks. She is a Sr. Nursing student trying to do Clinicals. Conversation about what to expect would have helped a lot. 4 weeks later she developed an infection in the incision and cellulitis around the incision. A call to the office nurse on Friday and... read more
His bed side manner is awful. He's weird, not personable. My appointment was super quick and getting much information out of him was like pulling teeth.
I seen Dr. Akkad because I was having heart pains after having Covid. I felt that he was thorough and quite experienced. I didn’t feel rushed, he and his PA listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. They both were kind and upbeat. I would recommend his doctor for sure.
He has been outstanding in my husbands care
Very pleased with Dr Hartman. He is willing to answer all your questions and is “down to earth” person.
