My husband and I went to couples therapy and found Dr McMillan to be projecting his own failed marriage reasons on to our situation which had nothing to do with us. He also blatantly catered to my husband and sided with him only which tore us apart even more. My husband even noticed this and we decided to seek another professional’s assistance.

Dr. McMillan was enormously helpful to me at a critical time in my life. While he has spent much time involved in difficult custody cases, his work as a mentor, supervisor and coach has been extraordinary. He also was very helpful to my marriage. His wonderful book - Create Your Own Love Story - is well worth the read and has blessed countless folks, including us. We are ever grateful for his perspective, wisdom and caring guidance
Dr. McMillan was called upon to offer his opinions with regard to a custody dispute for my teenage son. In his report, it was evident that he hadn't bothered to read the intake forms and my intentions; he snapped to assumptions/judgments too quickly and without all the facts. He later admitted that "maybe [he] didn't do a good job" but felt that if the court was asking for his help, he was called upon to do so. It cost us both dearly and could've been different had he been more thorough.
Would give a negative number if I could. Very unprofessional and uncooth, narcissistic, controlling and even crossed the lines on ethical treatment. He is a menace to society and should not even be allowed to practice.
