I was a former patient at the meadows in centre hall, pa. I was just released yesterday. But for the week that I was there was hell. I was there before and even though the the staff that was there the few times that I was there before. They weren't perfect but they at least treated me with respect. I have been there many times and I think this is a very dangerous place for anyone who is admitted to this facility! I have seen very troubling things about this place first hand. You you are told you can can call there every day from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, well good luck with that! I have called for over 1 hour straight with no answer or answer just to be hung up on. Sometimes I have gotten a hold of my loved one to only to here like there was a mad house in the background and this has happened on numerous occasions. In my opinio... read more
Former employee. Please for the love of god, do not send your family members here. While the unit staff does try to help out the patients, administration does not. They only seem your loved one as a dollar sign. They literally sit in treatment team meetings and try to figure out how they can keep patients there longer. This is not a therapeutic environment. The units are dangerously understaffed. They accept patients who do not have acute psych problems. They allow for patients who have an extensive history of assault and vi... read more

Horrible experience. Was there Feb 1988 for 6 months. Drugged with all these medications. I was a 16 yr old that needed the love of their parents, but instead sent me to this horrible nut house.

Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is horrible. The staff was rude and coldhearted. They didn't care about the patient or the family. It was the worst experience I have ever had. They don't even deserve one star. The service was well below a ZERO STAR!!!
