Dr Transue was my endocrinologist from 12 years old when I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He stayed my doctor until I turned 19. He taught me a lot and kept me healthy and stable. Im now almost 32 and still am thankful for his care.
Dr Transue was my pediatrician (way back when they made house calls) & also took care of all 4 of my daughters. He was the only doctor that listened to me when my 1st daughter was having night terror seizures. I called him at 4am & he stayed on the phone with me for an hour, asking questions about what was happening with her & how she looked. He ran test & got her on medication. David Transue should NOT have a licence to practice... plain and simple. When I was first diagnosed in 1986 (Jan. 15th, 1986) I was 13 years old. It was then that he told me I should never smoke, have children, and that Type 1 diabetics do not live past 40 years old. Those horrific words of negativity and almost a sort of condemnation for having T1D, changed the trajectory of my life...forever.
