I have been going to Dr. Sikes for nearly 14 years now and he has been treating me for Scleroderma, still a somewhat rare auto immune disease. Throughout the years he has been a very caring rheumatologist. He will be retiring in a few months and will be greatly missed.
It's been over 3 years since I last seen Dr. Sikes and when he came into the room, I could feel the compassion that I knew from 3 years ago. Although I was there for a specific reason, Dr. Sikes had enough empathy to observe and knew that I wasn't in the best of place at the time I saw him on February 27. 2023. 1/31/23 Dr.Sikes is literally the best. I left my job and lost my insurance and had to get expensive Cobra. He expressed that he knows how expensive that can be and for me to let the office know if I ever have any hardship. His goal was to treat my illness so I can get better. My other Dr that treats me 1st question is my insurance and not my well being. As a minority woman,I can truly say Dr.Sikes has my best interest. Clearly, he's not in it for the money but the wellness of his patients. That's why he's a Blessed Man!
Dr. Sikes is by far the worst. His technician said, some very inappropriate comments to me and when, I complained to the Admin of the Florida Medical Center they sent me a letter stating that I was discharged as a patient. Not once did He call to find out what happened. Guess he doesn’t care what his staff says to patients.
I waited for over an hour and he just said I didn’t have anything (which is good) and that I “had TOO MANY doctors”. He may be a good doctor but I felt judged, like I wanted to have the number of doctors I have.
