I love Dr David Shepard. I have been to multiple Hematologists and Dr Shepard is by far the best. He knows me, my name and my history without having to look at a folder. I am a person to him and not a patient I’d number. Dr Shepard has a great bedside manner and knows how to speak with a kind voice and companionate eyes. I agree with others that Dr. Shepard is nice however my experience since the first visit in July has been everything but nice! For starters, we waited two hours to be seen at our first visit with a scheduled appointment. Since then several messages have been left with very little to no response. There is a grave lack of communication, consideration and professionalism for patient care that is disheartening. Dr. Shepard is nice. HOWEVER getting in touch with him if you need it is the WORST of any doctor I've ever gone to. Ive been his patient for 4 years not. 2 years ago I needed my prescription for Tamoxifen refilled. Publix called for me several times and so did I. The only way I got it refilled was I had to call my breast doctor who got him on the phone. Took a month. Now recently he asked for me to get a test done. My insurance will not cover it.
