I saw Dr. Schachter as a new patient and found him to be a very likeable person. I was there for a follow-up visit after being hospitalized for a week with a serious illness. The result of the consultation was that he would call me within 2 days after "doing his homework". That was 17 days ago, and even though I have left several messages with his staff, I have yet to hear from him regarding my condition. Dr. Schachter is an outstanding personal physician. He genuinely cares about his patients. He is also an excellent diagnostician whose "gut instincts" when necessary are helpful and reassuring. My family have been patients for over a decade. Our concern is that he may retire in the next two to three years because doctors like him come along very rarely.
I have been a patient of Dr. Schachter for 30 years. He is an incredible diagnostician. Had been diagnosed with lymphoma, was scheduled for surgery. I went to see Dr. Schachter for a 2nd opinion and within 10 minutes, Dr. Schachter told me I had mononucleosis. Saved me from unnecessary surgery. Told me I was going to get a very sore throat within a day or so, and sure enough, that's exactly what happened. Dr. Schachter is a conservative old school doctor, is totally honest and a great human being.
A wonderful, caring and thoughtful doctor who has taken good care of our family for the past 20 years. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Schacter has been my GP for almost 30 years. He is the best doctor in the entire world. I am not exagerating. Not only has he been my doctor, he has taken care of my daughter since she was about 4 months old. I'm a 54 year old male, and Dr.Schachter has been my primary physcian for about 10 years. He listens intently to your concerns and addresses each of them with well thought out options and remedies. I couldn't ask for any more assitances with my medical needs than what Dr. Schachter provides.
Dr. Schachter is an outstanding physician. He gives you as much time as you need and really listens to you. He is the first to say what he knows and when it is necessary to refer you. Also, he is consevative with drugs and will prescribe you what is the best, not necesarily the newest or gliziest, according to the pharmaceutical reps.
