If I could give this doctor, a 10 star review, I most definitely would. Seven months ago I felt like I was 88 years old. I walked bent over with severe back and leg pain. Dr. David Oliver Smith performed a laminectomy and spinal fusion on me in March 2025. On September 23, 2025 I had my six month postop appointment with the doctor. I’m doing very well. I went to him because I was having a hard time lifting my arms. They were weak and painful. The ER said cervical disc issues so I ended up in his office. After exam and telling him my issues he said he thinks it carpal tunnel. Sent me to a pain doctor. 4 days later I had a major almost fatal stroke. Some neurosurgeon. He was very nice in his office but I would never let anyone I know go to him.
This is one incredible doctor. My mom was in severe back pain. He did her surgery in July 2024. She is now pain free, back to her normal life. I cannot say enough about this man. Very good bedside manners, does not rush you. I would definitely go to see him if you are having any back issues. He is rated A1 in my book!
He was my surgeon through two back surgeries and I would never want anyone else. He is professional, explains everything and he has an amazing bedside manner. Dr. Oliver-Smith is simply the best at what he does.
