Great psychologist. Dr. Saenz was very effective at putting my husband at ease within minutes. Husband hates psychologists! We were able to get through the process quickly (15 sessions). One thing though, if you aren't used to be challenged or pushed, or given "homework" between sessions, you'll have to get used to it. We paid out-of-pocket and it was well worth it- much better than my in-network therapists. 2 years after therapy, our relationship is still going strong, and it was n the operating room table in ICU before.

One of the best therapist I've seen. Very forthright, compassionate, insightful, sensitive and competent. On walking in, he made me feel comfortable and as if everything I had to say mattered. Dr. Saenz was not your typical "u-hum" therapist that just sits and listens and once in a while says something: he is engaged, active and asks penetrating questions, but not in a way that intrudes or interrupts therapy. Exceptional psychologist. We've seen several mental health professionals to get an accurate diagnosis for our son. Dr. Saenz made us feel comfortable and within minutes he had our son much more engaged than we had seen in other offices. From here on out things went much more smoothly. We saw Dr. saenz for marriage and family therapy. Our marriage was on life support and we thought to make a last ditch effort to salvage it. In our sessions we learned not so much that our marriage was broken, but that we didn't know how to fix it. Fixing it meant learning how to repair the damage, setting boundaries between us, relearning about respect and the valuing of each other, and so much more. Dr Saenz has never been late to any of my appointments. I've even showed up early sometimes and he has always been ready and prepared. He was extremely competent, but more importantly, he took the time to listen, asked meaningful questions and challenged me to make the changes I needed in order to heal. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern ,he was always available and would call me within hours or that even if I contacted him.
