My husband suffered an injury at the gym that caused him to tear his pectoral muscle off his shoulder. He then proceeded to go to work for over two months instead of to the Dr. Turns out, time is of the essence with this injury. When we finally made it to the Dr. we were told most surgeons won’t touch it more than 4 weeks post injury. From being difficult to get a hold of to being treated terribly, my experience just setting up appointments was ridiculous. The referrals were sent over a week ago but when I called to set up the 2 appointments(same office different specialty), the receptionist spoke in a disdainful voice while basically interrogating me. She informed me that both types of insurance would not cover orthotics and dismissed me. No options for appointment, payment, etc. Then she interrogated me as to why Ortho would even be needed.
