Doctor Impastato began the procedure before any sedation took effect, did not stop when patient cried out in distress, was too forceful in giving injections, and rushed the procedure. Pre-procedural information was inadequate and proved to be incorrect. Patient was paralyzed without prior consent and fully awake during the unnecessarily painful procedure. It was a terrifying experience.
