Mr. Leroy sponsored a bill back in 1982 that prevents someone with mental illness from protecting themselves in their own criminal defense trial. I find it ironic that he is now a criminal defense attorney. He should be working for the prosecuting attorney's office. My father, Robert Schaefer, an Idaho State Legislator for almost 30 years, hosted a fundraiser for Mr. Leroy back in the 80's at our house. He represented Adam Paulson and is responsible for getting him out on probation with no prison time. Paulson had broke probation and drove drunk and hit and killed a pedestrian. Leroy has no ethics as a criminal lawyer.
We have known Mr. Leroy a number of years. His knowledge of Law and History is outstanding. He has a deep love of Idaho. We have sat in on his talks of Mr. Lincoln and his connection to Idaho at our local Library. He supports our Military, Law Enforcement, and our great state of Idaho.
This guy wants to build a WALL on the border..... Mr. Leroy, you will not be getting my vote or the latino vote this May
