Best and most caring eye doctor in the area. He fit me in at the end of day. I no he gets busy; however Dr. Hartzell and his whole staff is worth the wait. I heard a lady say she drove an hr. to get her eye surgery because she heard the great reviews. She had her first surgery and is so happy can't wait till she has her other eye done Again the beat eye doctor in Carlisle.
The exam rooms are left open. I heard Dr. Hartzell in the hallway make fun of a patient for going to the ER without a good reason. I have no doubt that Dr. Hartzell is competent, but I found this unprofessional. I shouldn't have heard this in the first place.
This doctor is amazing and talented. He operated on my eyes for cataracts he was able to correct my vision to 20/20. He was very professional and operated with such expertise I would recommend him for anyone that has a problem with their eyes.
Exceptional doctor and staff. Julian, an ophthalmic technician, put drops in my eyes the first time! Dr. Hartzell is so calm and reassuring and forthright. Turns out I need cataract surgery and couldn't feel more comfortable about it. The wait time was unusual but well worth it. Dr. Hartzell articulates well information about your condition and options. He did not hesitate once to answer any questions. Highly recommend this practice.
I've seen Dr. Dave for over 12-years now. He's always conscientious and spends the time necessary to go over your eye health. He performed Lasik surgery on me ten years ago (when I was in my early 50's). I had worn glasses most of my life, and the results were spectacular. The only downside is that my age requires me to wear reading glasses. But I figure I'm far ahead -- $20 readers from CVS rather than $300 prescription glasses!
