I am writing this to warn parents, especially those with neurodivergent children. We waited months for this appointment, only to be treated as an absolute waste of time. My son was seen by Dr. Callahan and I was not at all impressed with him. He was very rude from the start. I have been a nurse for 12 years and have always taught and encouraged my son to speak for himself. I never spoke over anyone during this appointment. I was attempting to give him my son’s history from a young age when his migraines started as well as medications he has tried and failed. Information my son would not be able to recall. We came to Dr. Callahan for concerns and a second opinion with Autoimmune Encephalitis. He pushed us off and didn’t take us seriously. We had blood tests and MRI’s that shows inflammation markers. It saddens me to wonder how many people he has not taken seriously with the autoimmune disase PANDAS. Do not recommend!
