I should start by saying that my child’s pediatrician had suspected they had craniosynostosis at their 1 month check up. He gave us a referral to Dr. Harter and saw him shortly there after. He confirmed my child’s sagittal suture had fused prematurely and would require surgery. Something no parent wants to hear, especially their first child. He assured me that it was a relatively safe procedure, and not having it done would do more harm than good. Dr Harter is an amazing neurosurgeon and person. Our 3 month old son had to have surgery on his head and that was the most devastating news especially as first time parents. From our initial appointment Dr. Harter and his team put our minds and hearts at ease. He kept us updated and explain the steps as well as answered all of our questions.
