Good doctor - thorough, explains things and am comfortable with his evaluation and explanation. Unfortunately, his office staff is another thing. It is basically a patient mill. The receptionist is never available and rarely returns calls. I have never called and not got the answering service. The office is on the penthouse level, and you cannot arrive early (as elevator will not go there until someone is in the office). Came many times and could not get to office. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Berman for over two years and found that he completely well-informed, professional, skilled, caring and a well-trained ophthalmologist. He will take time with each patient to review, explain and answer all questions. Dr. Berman is truly an amazing surgeon, as I received excellent care before, during and after my surgery. The wait time maybe long, but I can’t praise him enough and he’s defiantly worth the wait.
What a pleasure it is to finally be under the care of such a capable, caring, and astute physician! Dr. Berman’s people skills are matched by his super clinical and surgical talents. I highly recommend Dr. Berman to anyone seeking a great ophthalmologist who happens to be a great person as well.
Dr. Berman is that rare medical professional who is both professionally skilled and socially evolved. As he does all the usual eye tests in a quietly efficient way, Dr. Berman engages the patient with a rich discussion on various topics. it is just so civilized to find a doctor who looks at the patient and not only the computer screen and who is NOT trying to push you out the door in 5 minutes.
