Originally we had our pool built by Sylvan 25 years ago. We had it completely refinished 7 years ago by Callahan. I just open our pool on 6/7/25. The tiles under the coping are falling off so bad that I can just grab a piece and it just falls off. All the cement underneath is just crumbling. When I started looking into replacing my original 25-year old Anthony Pool plaster, I focused on diamondbrite as what I wanted for a new finish, because I liked what I saw in many pictures and also wanted something different compared to the original plain white. However, after checking out several contractors and deciding on Callahan, George told me that he doesn't use diamondbrite but that "quartz plaster is quartz plaster". I had Callahan replanted my pool maybe 15 years ago. I had them out a couple of times since as I was losing water. He unprofessionally mocked me about not having a problem with my pool. I just had the pool replastered. They had to remove all of Callahan's plaster as they didn't use enough bonding agent under his plaster, additional 6k in expense, and they found a leak as his skimmers were not installed properly. I am not losing any water now.
