If you are trying to sell coins, by very wary. They will offer you an amount way below what you can get elsewhere hoping that you won't know any better. I sold my coins to another dealer for much more than their offer.

Stay far away If you are trying to sell coins be very very careful. I'm a fairly knowledgeable collector and when I asked them to make me an offer, they lowballed me significantly. I feel sorry for others who might not know any better. I ended up selling my coins to another dealer for significantly more.

I found the personnel at Derzon Coin to be exceptionally helpfull and friendly. They were informative, knowledgable, and quite patient while handling business with me. They had a completely professional style without being overbearing, pushy, or arrogant, as I have often experienced in prior dealings with like businesses. Lovely people, very knowledgable and fair. They gave me top dollars for the gold I sold. Exactly as it was headlined in the news, the peak price of gold per ounce, I got that exact amount for the gold that I sold to them. They gave me good service at their store, it was a pleasant experience. I got the feeling that they had many years experience and they knew what they were talking about. Bad Business I entered David Derzon's coin store this afternoon. I was neither greeted nor acknowledged (the only thing in there that acknowledged me in the store was their minatuare dog,) but rather scorned and judged over - as if they saw a poor college kid and sized me up right there when I walked in. I took in a collection of U.S. coins I was trying to sell to be appraised by them. After a few days, they called back to say the appraisal was done and I should come back in. So I did, and then they told me that there was no need for me take the collection to any other dealer because the appraisal amount would be pretty much the same. They said it wouldn't matter, and that I should just sell to them.
