My experience with Dr. Canes, in a word, is exceptional. After my cancer diagnoses I spent a lot of time researching treatments and doctors, Dr. Canes was at the top of my list of surgical consultations. He went out of his way to provide all the details of my condition, treatment approach, expectations, possible complications (however unlikely), and recovery. I came to read reviews about Dr. Canes. I am impressed and I feel like I have found the right Doctor to speak to about my desire for a vasectomy. I really need one but am so scared about the costs.. I received excellent care and treatment from this practice for my prostate issue from initial contact through diagnosis and treatment. The entire staff at Lahey Urology are professional and responsive, and the communication was timely. Dr Canes skills combined with the latest robotic surgical practices produced an excellent result. Best doctor I've ever dealt with very experienced
Last December I had a CT scan for a possible bladder problem. This scan, much to everyone’s surprise, indicated I had a renal cell carcinoma in my left kidney (which had nothing to do with my original issue). My PCP ordered further testing including a PET scan after which she referred me to the Lahey Clinic and an appointment was scheduled with Dr. David Canes.
