When i had a break down on a trip David was, on short notice, able to stop what he was doing & make time to look at my vehicle. In the summer heat and without a vehicle lift to make the job much easier, he still went under the vehicle to open up the rear differential. This is a job no one would want to work on, so I can't imagine there is a better guy to help out in a pinch. David is the guy who will do what he can to get you up and running at a fair price. David was able to quickly get our truck repaired during a trip to Burns when we discovered our fuel tank was vandalized. I would highly recommend for his flexibility and fair pricing for emergency repair. I would recommend paying in cash or be vigilant if paying with a card, see below. His wife was confused about whether the card payment cleared on a holiday weekend and charged me twice, which included a 3.5% credit card fee on each charge. David really helped us in a pinch. Our car had problems with spark plugs as we were driving from Phoenix to Salem. David and Jay came to our hotel and made the repair on a Sunday morning! We were on our way in no time. David called a few hours later to make sure the car was working well, since he knew we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us. They were kind and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone in the Burns area needing car work done.
Field vehicle was towed from Frenchglen in July 2024 and was not returned to us until May 2025, even after repeated attempts to contact the shop. There was a 2,500 mile discrepancy in the recorded mileage when the truck died to when it was picked up 10 months later, indicating to me that our vehicle was driven and used by this establishment. Huge red flag to stay far away from this place.
