Dr. Kagey should find another profession. He clearly does not care about the patient. He is unable to address the overall health effects of urology problems, he can only focus on the one thing that he reads from the file in his hand. He makes no attempt to review any other health records for the patient that might be available in the Carilion portals If asked a question, he instantly becomes rude and very defensive. Kagey is rude and condescending if you disagree with him. He operated on me for a hydrocele. It started coming back, but he INSISTED it was just a hematoma, even after it continued to enlarge. Ultrasound done. He gave me some nonsense about how I might have moved a certain way and caused some trauma. Second opinion validated there is a hydrocele. The ultrasound tech even knew it was. Based on comments left I was concerned about my appointment. The appointment could not have gone better. From reception to the doctor, everyone was very professional and caring. Excellent experience

I was a little nervous because there were some fairly bad reviews for this office. It was fast, professional, and zero complaints. Dr. Kagey explained the procedure and executed. In, out and on my way.

Dr. Kagey recently removed my right kidney due to it being wrapped in a cancerous mass. We found him very knowledgeable, straight forward with the procedures to be performed and willing to answer any questions we had. Anyone I talked to said he was top notch and we found that to be the case! I highly recommend him and his reviews on here are not what we encountered at all! I have complete confidence in him and the wonderful care he gave me. I now have one kidney so I’ll see regularly for ? ups!

Absolutely terrible!!! From the front desk to the exam room everybody here is the most rude people I have known in my entire life! I actually ended up walking out and tell him to lose my number and my information because they were so infuriatingly rude. I was incredibly intense pain for which they made me wait 2 months for an appointment only to walk in there and be treated as if somehow I was impeding their time and that I was too stupid to take care of myself and that I deserved the pain!

If you would like a doctor that does not explain anything to you, with a staff that is allowed to be rude and mistakes then blames you for their mistakes. Dr kagey is the doctor for you. Dr kagey will also be very rude to you. He is a doctor that is all about the money and not the care of his patients, no compassion at all. I should have read the review on him before I went to him. The one review and bout him being like a fast food restaurant was right on the money.
