HORRIBLE!!! RUN the other way!!! had to bring it back during warranty... still not fixed... just picked it up from a reputable shop $1200 later... DAVE is not a nice guy, actually quite the ahole, he acts like he is doing you a favor!!!!

Had four transmission rebuild at Dave's on fairfield all failed. Coming here is a coin flip you get what you pay for Avoid Dave's transmission THESE GUYS ARE HACKS AMETURES. AWFUL. BETTER TO PAY MORE AND GET IT DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
DO NOT take your car there!!!! My husband has been a mechanic for 40 years. They talked to him like he was an idiot. He spent almost $800 and they DID NOT fix his car!! It was WORSE than when he brought it to them! AND it took almost a MONTH! He brought it back because it was under warranty and they said it wasn't the transmission!! Brought my Honda in to have the transmission fluid changed. After driving the car home and parking in the garage, husband took it to work the next day and I came home to find a giant puddle of transmission fluid on the floor of the garage. My husband looked under the car at work, found that the plug for transmission fluid was loose. He hand tightened it, then I called Dave's to be told to just bring the car back tomorrow. one of daves employees took my car out for a joy ride blew my motor but 4 dents in my car and wouldnt pay for the damages...i didnt have time to take him to court because i moved to florida the next week but swore to myself that id do anything to tarnish the reputaion of dave transmisssions so no one els would suffer like i did
I took my car to Daves for a transmission rebuild. It was in their possession for over a month before I got it back. I think i only got it back then because i called everyday for a week until it was done. I picked it up and drove it around for a while since it had been sitting for so long and noticed a rattling while the car was idling. Took it to my regular mechanic and the trans mount was bad and the bolts holding it on were loose. When I lived in Round Lake if my car needed repairs I always took it to Dave's. His prices have always been more than fair and the work excellent. Hey Dave can you open a shop in Saint Louis.
