DO NOT GO TO DAVE’S! Dave’s Small Engine Repair on St. Rd 8, East of Knox, is a complete joke and rip off. Dave Deacon is nothing but a con artist with terrible communication skills. Took my RZR there to have the turbo rebuilt. He said they are very knowledgeable with the machines. Dropped it off on May 19th. Long story short…after several weeks of lies and excuses, finally got it back tonight. I wasn’t allowed to test drive or see it until paying the $2,050 to get it back. Had valve guides installed and a new muffler on my mower. Had a small issue and Dave came and told me he would take care of it. Friendly staff.
Two people unloaded my mower at home no one dropped it so when they came after I told them it didn't run they came and got it said something was loose the gentleman who brought it back mower a very small path it was still smoking he said it was normal. I had told them when they took it to fix about the smoke again still did it, I figured it out myself it was the bagger was full seems like they would have checked it. No more smoke.
