I attended DSYTC In August 2018-November 2018. I went into treatment at 19 years old heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol. My mental health was deteriorating and I had no relationship with my family/friends. When I walked into the centre I was fearful yet excited at the same time. The 3 1/2 months at the centre was life changing. I learned healthy coping strategies to deal with cravings, we looked at communication, and ways to have fun in recovery. The Dave Smith Residential Program has made a difference in the lives of my son and our family. There were definitely hard days but they were in the first few weeks. Once he settled in, he excelled with his recovery! The staff are amazing and it is apparent how much they enjoy their clients and want to see them live their best lives! I would 100% recommend DSYTC.
I went here as a teen and as an adult I'd say ... I'd never send my child here. They dont understand the mental struggles of abused children or teens who face addiction.
