This was the first adult psych trip I’d had since turning 18. Going in I was very nervous as my last visit to a behavioral health center for minors was unpleasant to say the least. I can say today though that this was the most comfortable stay I’ve had in a psychiatric unit and I left feeling like my problems mattered while I was there. I was able to meet with a team of training med students and professional psychiatrists at least once a day with vitals taken daily and medication given daily if prescribed. They help and heal a lot of individuals with ptsd.
