Dr. Rodriguez cardiac surgeon was outright rude and condescending. Open heart surgery. Spoke less than 2 minutes to wife post op. Would not give any pain meds in recovery room. Outrageous. 5 oxycodone on discharge. I am a longtime nurse this is unacceptable. Will never recommend him.
We were at Dartmouth with our dad that has cancer. Our day nurse, Dylon, and night nurse Jenn, were both amazing. Actually anyone we had contact was. We were there over night and they went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure not only their patient but our family were comfortable any way they could.
While my mom didnt receive the care we felt she should have, the hospital has many wonderful care givers and support staff and departments. It's been 3 years since I wrote, since my mother died there at Dartmouth hospital. The last night of her life she called me crying saying they were so mean to her. They called me around 7:30 in the morning to tell me I should come as they were coding my mother. For days I called asking the lazing nurses to have a doctors call me as my mother was hallucinating. At the ER. I have a severe neck injury work related Federal Workers Comp. i’m treated like I have NO insurance. Never again. The drive to Tufts Medical Center in Boston would have been worth it.
