My experience has been not helpful in any way. He has given no constuctive critisism or guidance...
I initially had a great deal of respect for Alex. But sadly he has shown that he can not be trusted to provide quality therapy. I can't and won't go into any details about what has occurred. But I no longer have any respect for him. I feel he is an amateur and does not have enough experience to be a qualified therapist. He is a nice man however if not for this I would give one star. 5 weeks out, this man is unable to face me he has yet to provide a required summary of visits. Anna is an amazing therapist - really empathetic, kind and non-judgmental. She helped me work through some very important issues.
I trust Alex with monitoring, treatment, and analysis of my pervasive mental health situation. I first sought mental health treatment, in Chicago, in 2012. You can read firsthand how some providers and auxiliary staff at treatment centers think of patients and it unfortunately isn't good. There's research suggesting that clinicians host as much stigma around mental illness as the general public. I could feel this with many providers.
Alex was tremendously attentive and helpful with my mom. He offered a very generous support when she was in need and checked in often to make sure she was all right. I don’t have enough words to show my appreciation for all his efforts.
