Based on our experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion. There are many specifics I could share(post), but it would require too much time and more heartache. I’ve been under Dr.Shah’s care for almost a year now. It was discovered I had Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that had been eating my spine, ribs, and hips. Fortunately, no organs. He called my home that night, and got treatment started immediately. My PSA was over 1200! It’s now .013. Amazing! I’m now in remission with a serious hope to be eventually cured. He’s pretty serious, but does have a light touch to him. He cares. The staff and PA’s there are also great!
I met Dr. Shah 2 years ago when I got diagnosed with stage 4c colorectal cancer. He started me on an Immunotherapy rather than chemo, a choice I know saved my life. A few weeks ago he told me I am in full remission; I am alive today because of him. Very good Doctor. Explains everything well!
Dr. Shah is one of the most amazing doctors at Ironwood Cancer. He's especially wonderful explaining your treatment and the options you have. I was so thankful for him on my cancer journey; he listened and encouraged me and sometimes laughed at my stubborness but together we reached a successful outcome. I could not have done it without him!
