I first met Dr. Stern at work as a young nurse. I saw his wonderful rapport and compassion towards his patients. I also know that he is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the patient’s options in a way that they can understand. When my Mom and Dad needed an internist, I didn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Stern. Later on, a colleague was changing insurance and needed a Primary Physician. I also recommended Darryl Stern. Without question, he is one of the best internist
Yes, it can take some time to finally get in to see Dr. Stern after you show up for your appointment. However, when you do, you should clearly understand the wait. He takes his time with you to fully understand your malady. I have never felt my "time was up" with him. That's critically important for his current patients and future patients.
Dr. Stern is compassionate, thorough, and very thoughtful about the care he offers. His communication with other care givers, providers, and outside agencies (VA, for instance), has been extremely good and timely. We feel very satisfied and lucky to have Dr. Stern as a primary care physician.
I think he's a good doc but notoriously VERY LATE for appointments. Expect at least 2 hrs to be added to your appointment time
Pt beware. If you concerned about your health, this dr is not the right fit. He has overlooked abnormal routine labs multiple times.. Found out lab results through a separate routine life insurance exam. This dr will spend an hour and a half talking to you but thats a scam to buy your trust. If you need a professional physician, its my honest opinion to look elsewhere.
If I could give Dr. Stern 6 stars I would and I’m a guy that rarely gives out 5 stars. Unfortunately I have seen many physicians in my life but Dr. Stern is in the top 5%. He will give you all the time you need to discuss your medical issues and will cover each one of them thoroughly. I have now moved out of town and am only writing this review now because I didn’t want the rest of the north shore to know how awesome he is and make it harder for me to see him??.
