Dr. Darling removed a molar and gave me a prescription for hydrocodone I filled the script for 13 tabs of this 'mild' opiate. I took one in the afternoon and one before bed to help sleep. Panicked, I found the chief side effect of hydrocodone is to depress the respiratory drive. He should have been aware of a chronic condition before prescribing opiates so easily.
