The best experience ever. You cannot ask for more on your holiday. The Banksia lodge is well equiped, modern and comfortable. The property is completely off-grid, but with perfect and fast internet (with teenagers that's an advantage). Dark Sky Eco retreat is Xanadu for someone like us who do not like overcrowded resorts. This place is relaxation personified, the air is so wonderfully clean and the sunrises and sunsets are a joy to behold. Mark and Wendy the owners are welcoming and very generous with their time. The emus and goats are very cute and we loved spending time with them.
This place is a dream come true. A magical experience for us. The accommodation was amazing, the Emu Safari tour is a must do and the Stargazing experience with our hosts was out of this world. It's such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at Dark Sky Eco Retreat. A testament to the love, care and attention put into making a piece of paradise on earth, by the owners, Mark and Wendy. We're so grateful that we were able to spend time at this Retreat.
Our second time to Dark Sky resort. Mark & Wendy have a unique property they generously share. Tranquil and private, the accommodation is very comfortable with all modern facilities. We loved the outdoor hot tub. Emus are so much fun, the star gazing so interesting. A beautiful part of the country and close to Siding Springs, Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungle National Park. Highly recommend.
I cannot recommend Dark Sky Eco Retreat highly enough. Three night stay and the stress of living and working in the big smoke just melted away. Mark and Wendy are so generous with their hospitality. I would strongly recommend the star gazing and emu safari as its definitely worth it. Beautiful facilities and every need is accommodated for. Would definitely go back.
