The hike down the fall is good only if there is good amount of water. I went in April mid and there was not enough water in the fall. The parking is sleek but enough. There are many scenic spots in and around.
Beautiful, family-friendly hike! Dark Hollow Falls is a perfect short trail if you’re looking for an easy adventure with kids. The path follows a lovely stream with several small crossings—our kids had a great time splashing around and exploring along the way. The waterfall at the end is gorgeous and well worth the walk. It can get a little busy during peak season, and parking is limited, so try to get there early. Overall, a great intro to Shenandoah hiking for all ages!
It was a great view with moderate amount of water. The trek was not too tough, about 1.5 miles round trip. There are multiple points along the hike where you can stop to touch the water and it's super clear (and cold 🥶). Overall 10/10 recommended.
