I saw Dr Papathomas throughout my pregnancy and she also delivered my baby. She was very knowledgeable and always answered my questions throughly. I will be using her again for my next pregnancy!
Dr. Papathomas is an exceptional, caring doctor who listened to my concerns and met them with a plan. What I love about the plan is that it is a conservative way to address things like lack of sleep and PMS symptoms that range from heart rate variability to night sweats. Kind of flabbergasted that Dr Papathomas has some good reviews, especially one describing her as validating. Maybe she just treats patients from ER/on medi-cal terribly? Firstly she was incredibly condescending, spoke to and stared at us as if we were remarkably stupid from the moment she walked in. Secondly, she seemed to be deliberately antagonistic and obstructive- at one point saying she had no idea what a routine urine test result (urobilinogen) was? Did she not go to medical school? Dr. Papathomas worked with me throughout my entire pregnancy and delivery of my baby boy this May. I cannot say enough good things about her. She took the time to answer all my questions, and discuss everything with both my husband and I. She is also extremely knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon. I am so happy to have worked with her for my first preganancy as I knew I was in good hands!
Happy to have found a doctor who takes time with her patients, listens and is good with new patients. My wife came home and only had good things to say about her experience which was a complete 180 from other doctors in the area. I highly recommend Daphne to anyone looking for a obstetrician or Gynecologist in the area, Especially if you are a new patient whose nervous about going to the doctors for the first time.
