Holy smokes this place is great. Amazing local food and friendly service - not cheap, but top notch stuff rarely is.
Daphne is a hidden gem — genuinely Michelin-caliber cooking in Astoria. We did the tasting menu, and every course impressed: confit halibut with honeycrisp apple and dill, charred broccoli with a soft-boiled egg, a beautifully balanced cauliflower soup, ling cod in a fines herbes broth, and a rich chicken and morel dish with fava beans. I was looking forward to this place based on reviews, menu, and beautiful photographs of dishes. Visiting Astoria for the first time yesterday for my birthday.
