ewww All I know is the one and only time I ate there, The place of full of what I would call fruit flies. Dead on the table, flying around me and my spouse, it was the most disgusting restaurant experience I had ever had!
German style food Ok, I went to Danzers for dinner with some co workers, even though I had no idea what types of food would be on the menu. Since I try to eat somewhat healthy as much as I can, I ended up getting a salad because everything on the menu is really unhealthy. My co-workers ate huge sandwiches full of corned beef and other German style meat. They liked it, but not my cup of tea.
Danzer's is A #1!!! A really great place. The prices are extremely reasonable and the German cuisine is authentic and absolutely delicious. I recommend the rouladen, but anything else is well worth it. The sandwiches are in a class by themselves. A must do when in Syracuse!!!!!
Danzers German & American Restaurant Danzers is a Syracuse institution. Pay no attention to the other reviewer. It was my favorite restaurant when I was a student at SU, and I intend to visit it when I return shortly. They have reuben sandwiches to die for! And they are ENORMOUS. My mouth waters at the thought. I can't wait!!! PROS: Great reuben sandwiches CONS: Not for south beach diet types.

Good German food – It's a great restaurant that offers a good selection of dishes and good cold beers on tap. Try it out, it will be worth it.

Charming little German Restaurant – The ambiance here is very nice, rustic with plenty of German steins and knick-knacks. The food was quite good, for the most part. I ordered soup & salad, and the seafood platter. The meals are huge! I had to take half of it home. Most of the food was fresh and very tasty; the only complaint I have is the breaded shrimp. It was somewhat greasy and a little overcooked. Unfortunately, the German meals are their specialty, which I did not try, and cannot comment on. The service was exceptional... read more
