Made an appointment because I had a check engine light on. Waited over a week for this appointment. Dropped off my truck at 8am for it's appointment. At around 2 I called and asked for an update, was told it hadn't been looked at but it would be later that day and was told they would call me. At 4:50 I called them to find out what was happening. I took my diesel truck into Dan's last December because it had a couple of hard starts. They replaced the lift pump $800+, it worked for a week. Then they replaced the injector pump $2500 lasted a couple of weeks. Then they supposedly cleaned and tightened the entire fuel system. Worked for a couple weeks. Had it towed back for the 3rd time. Estimate was $1000+ to replace the injector tubes. This all went on for over 6 months. But every week or two or four it wouldn't start. I took it to another shop. They kept it for a week... read more
Not quite sure what is going on at this shop but they are not the repair shop they used to be. We have had our truck towed there 3 times for the same fuel injection issue. The third time they said they had the mechanic go through 'everything' and make sure it was right. And then it again wouldn't start and was towed back. After $3000 and months of this they wanted to charge us another $1200 for some new issue. Dan is a super knowledgeable mechanic. Definitely the guy to go to if you have a 6.0 or 6.4 Ford. Super nice and friendly. Would recommend his service.
