Insurance costs in Louisiana are ridiculously expensive! When I received my 6 month premium from Shelter for car insurance (which had gone up again) I immediately went on the hunt for a new company. After 25 years with State Farm Insurance, they dropped my auto insurance. A significant at-fault single-vehicle accident was the cause. I had auto, home, and life insurance with them all these years. I was devastated because I was being penalized for filing a claim. Isn’t that the reason for having insurance? We had a time trying to find a specific type of policy and umbrella policy, not only finding someone to write it but also getting it at a decent rate. Mrs. Leona went above and beyond, even though she had to stay after hours to finish everything. She never quit until it was all done and handled.
